The friendly, courteous staff. The quiet room facing the courtyard (double ambience), the lovely shower, the super breakfast. Also the fact that we could store our bags and thus had more of the day. The location right by the train station. And of course the BaselCard.

A great central hotel with an extraordinary breakfast
The location right next to the main train station is very central. The room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. The staff were always very friendly. But what is really exceptional is the breakfast buffet, which offers everything your heart desires, in addition to an above-average selection of fruit and really good baked goods.

Everything is just right here: a nice room with everything you need, a very good breakfast and close to the train station. The friendly welcome was particularly great again. The receptionist went to great lengths to fulfil my room request – thank you!

I am just thrilled. The reception was extremely friendly, the room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. There was a kettle for tea and coffee, as well as a make-up mirror and small gadgets in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent – only the pre-packaged portions for butter and jam are not that ecological. I really appreciated the location of the hotel, very close to the train station. All in all, it is my new favourite hotel in Basel!

A very friendly, clean hotel with helpful staff
The Hotel Schweizerhof in Basel is very close to the train station. Unlike in other cities, this is NOT a disadvantage. It is very well run, appealing and, above all, very friendly. The staff at the reception, in the breakfast area and also from housekeeping are very friendly and very helpful. My room was functionally furnished, clean and very pleasant to stay in. I had a very restful sleep here. The breakfast is very varied and well presented. It is definitely worth tucking in here for a good start to the day. I would be happy to recommend the hotel.

Just a few steps from the train station, it is perfect for business travellers or tourists.
